J&B Construction and Remodel

If it's old or broken, we'll fix it. If it's old and not broken, we will make it look new. If you need something new, to fit your purpose, we'll build it for you. In other words, if it's made of wood, we're the ones to contact.

Welcome to our website

I am a master craftsman, with 40 years of experience, in high-end furniture and cabinet-making. For 35 years, I owned and operated a millwork business which included everything from high-quality custom kitchen cabinets and vanities, to restoration of antiques. This included interior doors and trim. I sold complete packages to customers including every kind of woodwork that can go in a house or business, i.e., staircases, fireplace mantles, interior doors etc. If it was made of wood, I did it. I have since sold a business of 38 years, and am dedicating all of my efforts and knowhow to the other business of 43 years, to building, remodeling, and general construction,  I have from the beginning, (1980), run a successful no-nonsense, old-school business, where an honest handshake still means something. In all this time, I have never had a customer not satisfied. Also, I think it's good to know, that the only 4 hands to touch your project will be mine and my son-in-law.

1929 Louisville Cabinet and Furniture Company antique table with embroidered chairs

This table was taken completely apart, just like it was before it was assembled in the factory

All joints, sanded and re-glued, and re-assembled with all original fasteners

The beginning process is to get all of the components separated

When we say disassembled, we mean, down to every component

Once the components are completely stripped and sanded to new condition, it's time to reassemble

Even the chairs are completely disassembled, just like the table

Then they are reassembled

Constructed using 1920's legs, and steel bracing
